From Centre Of Johannesburg
Head South along the M1 South
Stay on the R82 Southgate / Old Vereeniging Road
8 km past Southgate Shopping Centre at the 3rd traffic light, turn left (Into the R550)
Immediately turn right into Alewynspoort
800 metres further you will see Thornbirds on your left |

From the North of Johannesburg along the Cement Highway (N1)
Follow N1 Bloemfontein
Turn of at the R553 Golden Highway (Nasrec)
3 km further up, turn right at Southgate Shopping Centre / Mondeor / Columbine
1 km further (just passed Southgate Shopping Centre), turn right at the Vereeniging sign (27)
You are now on the R82
Stay on the R82 Southgate / Old Vereeniging Road
8 km past Southgate Shopping Centre at the 3rd traffic light, turn left
(Into the R550)
Immediately turn right into Alewynspoort
800 metres further you will see Thornbirds on your left

From the East Rand / Alberton
Follow the M2
Turn off at the Kliprivier road to the left & continue following Kliprivier Road
You will pass Panorama Shopping Centre on your left
Continue along Kliprivier road
You will pass a large Catholic church on your left
At the next intersection (Swartkoppies), turn right into Swartkoppies
Continue straight until you reach the traffic light at the T-junction
Turn left into the R82 (Old Vereeniging Road)
At the next traffic light, turn left
(Into the R550)
Immediately turn right into Alewynspoort
800 metres further you will see Thornbirds on your left

From Vereeniging
take the R59 highway heading towards
Alberton. Pass Engen Blockhouse 1stop. Carry on until you
reach the Heidelburg Rd offramp which is the following turn-off.
Once you've taken the offramp, the sign wil read;
"R550 Nigel - right, R550 Lenasia - left".
Take the R550 Lenasia - left.
The next sign shows R550 (R82) Johannesburg 33. Just
after the sign, turn right onto the tar road & go straight for
approximately 13,8 km, turn right at guard-house.
We are situated just before Van Zyl's Butchery. |
